PhotoFlight Aerial Media Team has been selected to film an unusual marketing campaign event in New York’s Times Square street – a street team handing out yellow umbrellas with #Staydry hashtag promoting client’s product.

As it is currently nearly impossible to legally operate drones in New York’s Times Square, we devised an alternative method for getting elevated shots-a remotely controlled camera gimbal attached to a 20ft telescopic pole, operated by a crew of two. This solution helped us get great POV and tracking shots, two other camera operators with traditional ground equipment were also used on this project.
The client was provided with a library of footage and two edited videos – a longer “commercial” version, and shorter “social media” version. The videos were edited in a manner which makes it easy to add text, voice-over and other elements as needed.
